This series, Pyramids, is sort of a bridge between gouache and oil works. I use the shape of the paper and color mixtures to determine the final forms. Since I don't use a straight edge, they tend to get wobbly. For me, they are like labyrinths or mazes used by Victorians for devotion and contemplation. The Pyramids are gouache on Canson or Rives BFK and are approximately 22.25 inches square. These are images from 2005-2006 and are an ongoing project.
